Betty Lewis Welch, 79, of Paintsville, died Friday, June 19, at her
residence.
  
Born Nov. 16, 1930, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late
John R. and Imogene Pigg Welch. She worked in a hospital pharmacy.
  
Survivors include two sons, Sam Welch of Paintsville and John Paul
Welch of River; a brother, Don Lewis of Boons Camp; a sister, Peggy
Lyons of Paintsville; four grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Monday, June 21, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Ronnie Spriggs officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
