Brown Low Wells, 88, died November 14 in Highlands Regional Medical Center.
 
Mr. Wells was born May 19, 1897 in Johnson County, the son of Samuel
Jefferson and Cynthia Spriggs Wells. He was a resident of Van Lear, a
retired miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
 
His first wife, Goldie Butcher Webb preceded him in death in 1957.
 
Surviving are his wife, Eva Wells; 6 sons, Sebert Wells of Mt. Gilead, OH,
Andrew J. Wells of East Lake, OH, Woodridge Wells of Auxier, Jack and Darvin
Wells of Wabash, Ind; a step son, Danny Blevins of Van Lear; 5 daughters,
Bufford Delong of Willoughby, OH, Willa Dean Kovatch and Sora Wells of
Euclid, OH, Patsy Webb and Phyllis Jennings of Van Lear; a brother, Bill
Wells of Nippa; a sister, Goldie Horn of Stone, KY; 19 grandchildren; 7
great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held November 18 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel
with Lowell Webb and David Blackburn officiating.
 
Burial was in Webb Cemetery at Van Lear.
