Death Takes James. H. Wells Johns Creek Man Dies Wednesday James H.
Wells, 78, of Johns Creek, died at 4:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4,
in the Prestonsburg General Hospital following an illness of several
months.
Mr. Wells was a well known and prominent farmer in the Johns Creek
section where he spent his life.
He is survived by his wife, Launa Goble Wells, and seven children;
four daughters, Mrs. Angie Honeycutt, Mrs. Anna B. Burchett, Esta Mae
Wells, all of Auxier, and Mrs. Evaline Irene Wells of West Van Lear;
three sons, Paris Lee Wells of Auxier, John Kelly Wells of
Prestonsburg, and Fred Arthur Wells of Lancer, Ky. One son, Herbert
Allen, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Johns Creek at 1:30
p.m., Sunday, February 8.
Burial will be in the Wells family cemetery.
