JOHN O. WELLS
1909-1982
Van Lear resident John O. Wells, 72, died September 6 in Paintsville
Hospital.
Mr. Wells was born October 13, 1909 in Johnson County, a son of Mose and
Cora Honeycutt Wells.
Surviving are his wife, Irma Spriggs Wells; three brothers, Woodrow of West
Van Lear, Willie of Van Lear, and Henry of South Point, OH, and three
sisters, Mabel Adams, Henryville, IN, Maggie Collins and Eula Williams, both
of Van Lear.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, September 8 at 1 p.m. in
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
