Margery Preston Wells, 88, of Wittensville, died Tuesday, June 27,
2006 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born May 20, 1918, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Glance and Mary Ann Burchett Preston. She was a retired sales
clerk.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Wells;
a son, Kenneth Ray Wells; a daughter, Patricia Ann Wells Castle;
two brothers, Bradley Patrick Jr. and Carl Thomas Patrick; and two
sisters, Maudie Grim and Virgie Grim.
Survivors include a son, Vernon Wells of Lowmansville; two
daughters, Bonnie Jean Wells Connelley of Wittensville, and
Carolyn June Wells of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, Clyde
Patrick of Staffordsville, Henry Allen Patrick of Wittensville,
and Jack Raymond of Paintsville; three sisters, Myrtle "Tee"
Patrick Caudill of Nippa, Polly Patrick Wells of Marion, Ohio, and
Opal Lee Preston Daniels of Grove City, Ohio; five grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 2, at Tom's Creek Free Will
Baptist Church, Nippa, with James Kelly Caudill officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
Visitation will be 3-10 p.m. today, Friday, June 30, from 3 - 10
p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday, July 1, after 9 a.m. at the
funeral home.
