NANCY MARGARET WELLS
1941-2000
Van Lear resident Nancy Margaret Wells, 59, died Wednesday, August 9,
2000 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland.
Mrs. Wells was born May 4, 1941, in Johnson County, to the late
Houston E. and Thelma Picklesimer Williams.
She was retired from American Standard.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gerald Wells, on
December 4, 1970.
Surviving are two sons, Billy G. Wells II of Salyersville and Kevin
Lee Wells of Orangevale, California; one brother, D.B. Williams of
Columbus, Georgia; four sisters, Ruth Stambaugh of West Van Lear,
Glenna Music of Van Lear, Retha Fox of Zephyrhills, Florida, and
Phyllis Murphy of Dryden, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held August 12, at St. Michael Church, with
Father Terence E. Hoppenjans officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
