Richard A. Wells, 93, of West Van Lear, died Saturday, Nov. 2 at his
residence.
   
Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late George
and Angie Sammons Wells. He was a self-employed heating/AC technician and
a U.S. Army veteran.
   
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard Wells and Mark Wells.
  
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Perry Wells; two sons, George Wells
of Madisonville and John Wells of Eminence; a daughter, Teresa Wells
Wright; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Jones Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Michael Greider officiating.
 
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
