PARKER WEST
1904-1990
Retired oil field superintendent, Parker West, 85, died Monday, September
17, in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. West was born November 9, 1904 in Magoffin County, the son of Enoch and
Stella Patrick West.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn West; one son, Robert Nelson West, of
Russell; three daughters, Eula Vest, of San Francisco, California, Anna
Louise Bayes, of Eratis, Ohio, and Veva Crace, of Oil Springs; two brothers,
North West, of Louisa, and Eddie West, of Weaverly, Ohio; one sister, Mary
West Gartin; one half sister, Myrtle Bluemaum; and nine grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 19, in Oil Springs Methodist
Church, with Doug Lawson officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with Jones- Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
