MARY ANN WETZEL
1915-1997
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 12, for Mary Anne Hager
Wetzel, 82, who died Wednesday, July 9, 1997 at Mountain Manor
Nursing Home.
Mrs. Wetzel was born January 19,1915, in Johnson County, to the late
George W. and Ida Gullett Hager.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Paintsville
Homemakers.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. "Nig" Wetzel,
on June 7,1989.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Fredrick Wetzel of Von Lear and
Daniel Eugene Wetzel, of Cedarville, Ohio; one daughter, Nicky Carol
Pelphrey of Paintsville; and nine grandchildren, 14 great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Officiating at services at First Baptist Church in Paintsville was
Charles Milam.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
