Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 11, 3 p.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Anna Ruth VanHoose Wheeler, 94, of
Paintsville, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, at Highlands Regional
Medical Center in Prestonsburg.

Mrs. Wheeler was born Sept. 18, 1918 in Johnson County, daughter of the
late Fred C. and Miranda Daniels VanHoose. She was a homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Wheeler; two
brothers, Perry C. and Wendell VanHoose; half-brother, Quimby VanHoose;
one half-sister, Lilly Preston; and one grandchild.

Surviving are three sons, Fred Marion (Alice) Wheeler of Salyersville,
James Winfrey (Judy) Wheeler of Winchester, and Wendell Ray (Ingrid)
Wheeler of Xenia, Ohio; two daughters, Glenda Ruth (Earl) Lucy and Myra
Ann (Charles) Townsend, both of Winchester; seven grandchildren, 15
great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchild.

The service was officiated by Roger VanHoose, with burial in the
Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville.

Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
