ORA WHITAKER
1927-1976
Ora Whitaker, 49, died Sunday, May 2, at his East Point residence.
He was the son of Matthew and Ida Rowland Whitaker and was born in Johnson
County on April 21, 1927.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie Hall Whitaker; 3 daughters, Kathy Meadows,
Oraetta, and Georgie Mae all of Columbus; 4 brothers, Ballard of New
Lexington, OH, Charlie and Johnnie of Columbus and Thurman of East Point.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 5, in the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Reverends Don Fraley and James Sturgill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park with Jones-Preston Funeral Home
handling arrangements.
