BERNIE WHITT
1918-2013
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2:30 p.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Bernie Whitt, 94, of Louisville, who
passed away Saturday, March 2 in Louisville.
Mr. Whitt was born June 26, 1918 in Magoffin County, son of the late
Malcolm and Della Lewis Whitt. He was a salesman, and a U. S. Army WWII
veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Helton Whitt of Louisville; one son, Dr.
John (Deborah) Whitt of Louisville; one brother, Herman Whitt of Dayton,
Ohio; two sisters, Hazel Whitt Howes of Akron, Ind., and May Whitt Poe of
Magoffin County; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 12 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
The service will be officiated by Dan Heaberline, with burial in the
Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
