CHARLES B. WHITTEN
1920-1997

Charles B. Whitten, 76, Tutor Key, died Wednesday, October 8, 1997 at
Paul B. Hall Medical Center.

He was born December 12, 1920, in Floyd County, the son of Robert and
Amanda Whitten.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife,
Madeline Whitten; two sons, Charles E. Whitten and Lon C. Whitten,
both of Tutor Key four daughters, Phyllis Tallent of Stockbridge,
Georgia; Gladys Manniv of Gibraltar, Michigan; Amanda Stouffer of
Rushville, Nebraska; and Kimberly Mattoy of Taylor, Michigan; one
brother, Jay Whitten, of Paintsville; 14 grandchildren; and three
greatgrandchildren.

Services were October 11 at Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church with
James K. Caudill officiating.

Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
