CHARLES WILLIAMS JR.
1923-1981
Services were held Wednesday, April 1, for Charles Williams, Jr., 57, who
died March 29, at Paintsville Hospital after a brief illness.
Born at Keaton in July 1923, he was the son of Charles Williams, Sr., and
Geneva Scrivner Williams. A mechanic and welder by trade, he was a
Paintsville resident at the time of his death.
Mr. Williams served in the United States Coast Guard in World War II.
Survivors include his mother, his wife, Colleen Grimm Williams, and three
sons, Tim Williams, Staffordsville, Charles Williams, III and R. J.
Williams, both of Paintsville, a grandson, Kip Williams, also survives.
Surviving brothers and sisters include Wilma Lou Bradley of Maysville, Vicki
Pack and Edward P. Williams of Paintsville, Robert Williams and David
Michael Williams of Louisville.
Revs. Graham Abbott, C. C. Hall and John Frank Ratliff officiated at
services Wednesday, April 1, in the chapel of Paintsville Funeral Home.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
