CHARLES WILLIAMS SR.

Charles Williams, Sr., 85, died Friday, Feb 22 in Paintsville Hospital after
an illness of several weeks.
 
Mr. Williams was born December 4, 1894 in Lawrence County, the son of Rev.
H. W. and Victoria Walker Williams. He was a resident of Paintsville, a
retired employee of Paintsville Bus Lines, a member of the Freewill Baptist
Church, a veteran of World War I, and Chaplain of the American Legion.
 
Surviving are his wife, Geneva Scrivner Williams; four sons, Charles, Jr.,
and Edward P. of Paintsville, Robert W. and David Michael, Louisville; two
daughters, Wilma Lou Bradley, Maysville and Vicki Pack, Paintsville; a
brother, M. B. Williams, Bowling Green; 15 grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
 
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb 24 in Third Street Freewill Baptist
Church with Rev. C. C. Hall, Scott Castle, John Frank Ratliff and Bob Lyons
officiating.
 
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
