CLAY WILLIAMS
1913-1984
Clay Williams, 71, died April 6 in Hall Regional Medical Center.
He was born march 13, 1913 in Johnson County, the son of John and Madge
(Williams) Williams. He was a resident of Paintsville, a retired stone
worker for MJM Stone Company and a member of the United Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Bertha Lee Robinson Williams,
February 7, 1968.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Montgomery Williams; a son, Danny Clay
Williams, West Van Lear; five daughters, Lois Wallen, Tutor Key, Margaret
Combs, Knox, IN, Gwendolyn Hale, North Judson, IN, Geraldine Ball and Linda
Helton, Flat Fork; two brothers, Elmer Williams, Harlan, TX and Howard
Williams, Cincinnati, OH; and a sister Louella Brickey, Harriman, TN.
Funeral services were held April 8 in United Baptist Church, Oil Springs,
with Elders Lonza Reed, Frankie Williams, Rutherford Blair, James Williams
and Thurman Montgomery officiating.
Burial was in Williams Cemetery with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
