DICIE WILLIAMS
1890-1979
Mrs. Dicie Williams, 89, died Friday, November 2, at her Paintsville
residence after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Williams was born February 7, 1890, in Johnson County, the daughter of
Claborn and Martila Williams Lyons. She was a member of the Primitive
Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Williams.
Surviving are six sons, Arbie K., Blaine, Ora L. Moon, Russell, Paintsville,
Lloyd C., Martha, Cam M. Sharpsburg, and Floyd F. Columbus, OH; two
daughters, Mrs. Esta Hill, Elkfork, and Mrs. Nellie M. Mowrey, Paintsville,
a brother and sister, John Lyons, Flatwoods, and Mrs. Delphia Conley, Flat
Gap, 36 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 4, in Old Paint Church, Relief,
with Elders Jerry Brown, Robie Ferguson, and Paul Keaton officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
