DORIS WILLIAMS
1939-1989
Nursing instructor Doris Williams, 50, died Tuesday, October 24, 1989
in the Pikeville Methodist Hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born June 17, 1939 in Pike County, the daughter of
John and Ollie Charles Cox.
She was employed by the Carl D. Perkins Comprehensive Rehabilitation
Center, a member of the First Methodist Church and a member of Beta
Sigma Phi.
Surviving are one daughter, Tempie Williams, of Paintsville; two
brothers, Donnie Cox, of Pikeville, and Freddie Cox, of Aurora
Indiana; two sisters, Betty McClellan, of Columbus, Ohio, and Phyllis
Meade, of Lexington; and her father-in-law, K. B. Williams, of
Paintsville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 28, in Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Ross officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
Pallbearers were Scott Croft, Frank Delzer, Frank Wells, Jim
Williams, Gail Gilliam and Doug Dixon.
