SAMUEL R. WILLIAMSON
1891-1981
Samuel R. Williamson, 89, died Sunday, August 16, in Paintsville Hospital.
MR. Williamson was born December 13, 1891, in Lawrence County, the son of
James and Alma Rene Boyd Williamson. He was a resident of Wittensville, a
retired miner and a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Merinda Walters Williamson; 3 sons, Rudolph
Williamson of Alexandria, KY, Roger Williamson of Paris, KY and Wallace
Williamson of Williamsport; 4 daughters, Ruby Meadows of Wittensville,
Elizabeth Scarberry of Creston, OH, Irene McCloud of Stambaugh, and Kay
Rucker of New Lebanon, OH; a sister, Elizabeth Stafford of Prestonsburg; 17
grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, August 19, at 11 a.m. in
River United Baptist Church with Elders Charles Price, B. C. Ferguson, C. J.
Sparks and J. T. Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with Jones- Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
