JULIA WOODS
1887-1978
Mrs. Julie Woods, 90, died Thursday, May 11 in Paintsville Hospital after a
brief illness.
Mrs. Woods was born June 22, 1887 in Johnson County, the daughter of T.J.
and Nancy Castle Preston. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of
the First Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, Jasper Woods, Sr preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Jasper Woods of Paintsville; two daughters, Annis
Chambers of Cynthiana and Frankie Blair of Mansfield, OH; 13 grandchildren,
27 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services held Sunday, May 14 in the Third Street Freewill Baptist
Church with Revs. Ellis Hamilton and Scott Castle officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
