ELVA YATES
1914-1988
Rev. Elva Yates, 74, of Paintsville, died recently. Mr. Yates was born
April 24, 1914 in Scioto Co., OH, the son of Sam and Illint Brown
Yates.
He was disabled and a member of the Church of God.
His wife, Imogene Ward Yates preceded him in death in 1974.
Surviving are two sisters, Effie Music Stapleton of Paintsville and
Jean Workman of Lima, OH.
Graveside rites were held Thursday, November 10 in Highland Memorial
Park at Staffordsville with Lawrence Hackworth officiating.
Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
