Rites June 16 For Elizabeth Chandler

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wed. for Mrs. Elizabeth
Chandler, 70, who died June 14 at her home in the Rockhouse
vicinity after an illness of one year.

Mrs. Chandler was born April 15, 1878, the daughter of William and
Matilda Castle of this county. She was a member of the United
Baptist Church.

On March 10, 1897, she was married to Charlie Chandler who
survives.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Lacy, Decatur, Ill.,
V. D., Portsmouth, O., Orville, Paduah, Ruel, Baltimore, Md., Mrs.
Ethel Gillispie, City, Mrs. Clifford Stone, Milton, Ky., and Mrs.
Eskie Wheeler, Raceland, Ky. She leaves three sisters, Mrs.
Sullivan Castle, Urbana, O., Mrs. Arby Lemaster, Ashville, O., and
Mrs. Howard Castle, Mechanicsburg, O.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Alfred Chancler and Rev. F.
F. Rigsby.

Interment was made in the family cemetery.
