NANNIE FAYE ROWLAND 1929-2004 JOHNSON COUNTY Nannie Faye Childers Rowland, 74, of Thelma, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at her residence. Born Oct. 8, 1929, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Nannie Mollette Childers. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Elmer Rowland, in 1991; and a daughter, Connie Ratliff. Survivors include a son, Jack Rowland of Thelma; three daughters, Scarlet Murray of Thelma, Neva Rowland of Paintsville, and Laura Caudill of Kendalville, Ind.; a brother, Martin Childers of Thelma; two sisters, Angis Butcher and Pricie Baldwin, both of Thelma; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 15, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel, Paintsville, with Paul E. Keaton and James Kelly Caudill officiating. Henry Elmer was buried in a family plot on his property, in the fall of 2004 he was moved to the Ochel Preston and placed beside his wife Nannie.
