Dock Stapleton, 85, died Sunday, December 23, in Riverview Manor Nursing
Home, Prestonsburg.
  
Mr. Stapleton was born May 24, 1894, in Johnson County, the son of Allen
and Cynthia McGuire Stapleton. He was a resident of Hager Hill, a
carpenter, and veteran of World War I.
  
Surviving are five sons, Cecil, Russell, Loran all of Ypsilanti, MI,
Clarence of Atlanta, GA, James of Springfield, OH; and Frankie of
Barnetts Creek; four daughters, Ivory Castle of Springfield, Sharon Adams
of Oil Springs, Betty Collinsworth of Nippa, Sandy Stapleton of Hager
Hill.
  
Funeral services held Monday, December 24 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with O.I. Williams and James Kelly Caudill officiating.
  
Burial was in Chandler-Pack Cemetery at Stambaugh .
