Benjamin F. Shontz passed away at his home in Pittsburgh on Monday,February 6, 1939. Death was due to a complication of diseases. He was born at Entriken on September 12, 1872 and was the son of George W.Shontz and Margaret (CLAPPER) Shontz, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 66 years, 4 months and 24 days. His wife, Millie (CRISWELL) Shontz preceded him in death eight years ago. Surviving to mourn his passing are three sons and five daughters: Mrs. Nellie Gregory, Miss, Floy Shontz, of Erie, Miss Anna Shontz, Miss Birdie Shontz, Miss Evaline Shontz, Herman Shontz, Forrest Shontz and Lester Shontz, all of Pittsburgh.
