VERNON LORMER BOWLBY -- Black Rock, died Tuesday at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick. Born at Whites Corner, 67 years ago, he was the son of Edward and Bessie (Zwicker) Bowlby.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Berry; three sons, Carl, Gordon and Dale, Black Rock; six daughters, Hazel (Mrs. Harold Morton), Port Williams; Verna May (Mrs Joe Wheaton), Black Rock; Beatrice (Mrs. Donald Graves), Port Williams; Ferona (Mrs. Carlton Gates), Port Williams; Phyllis (Mrs. Lloyd Legge), Lake Pearl; Jean (Mrs. Earl Doyle), Port Williams; three step-sons, Frank, Sarnia, Ont.; Wesley and John, Weston, Ont.; two stepdaughters, Bertha (Mrs. Henry MacCumber), Newport; Lillian (Mrs. William Burghardt), Kentville; one sister, Gladys (Mrs. Harold Banks), Brickton and 26 grandchildren.
