Take the Oakland Mills Road south out of Mt. Pleasant. Turn west on Irish Ridge Road.

There is a field to the right with a drive into it. If you walk directly over the hill to the north you will see the cemetery.

It has a chain link fence around it and was restored in 1998.

Richard went back Nov 7, 2004 and took pictures of all the stones he found and

we have added them. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the link.

The listing of burials in Irishtown Cemetery that is in the Mount Pleasant Library

and done by the Henry County Genealogical Society is full of errors.

I believe it was taken from an old record and not canvassed.

We found four stones that were not listed and we did not find stones for eight that were listed.

Several names were misspelled and I found several dates wrong or incomplete.

Under each stone picture is what I believe I read each stone to say.

I enlarged the picture on my computer, to try to verify the data.
