Berreman Watts (that is how it is spelled in the record) is listed on the1763
tax list of Bladen County, NC. He has one white poll. This wouldplace his birthdate
at before 1743 and assuming that he probably came outof Virginia, then I would
guess he was born prior to 1740.

sow & pigs, two feather beds, & 400 acres land on the Ns ofGapway. MARY
WATTS (Ezekial's youngest daughter), the Mill works. Son:PHILIP WATTS 350 acres
land between his plantation & RICHARD WATTS, being54 acres in Columbus County
& 300 acres in South Carolina adj thefeathery & WILLIAM NORTON; also
cattle, sheep, colt whose mare is infold, feather bed & musket. Daughter
PENELOPE WATTS, 300 acres land inthe South State, cattle, sheep & feather
bed. Son: JOHN WATTS, 300 acresland in the South State, cattle, sheep, musket,
mare, bridle & saddle &plantation (at mother's decease). Daughter: MARY
TYLER, cattle & sow &pigs. Wife: MARY WATTS, the plantation, other property,
goods & chattels& household furniture. At her death the plantation to
son JOHN WATTS.
