GEORGE WASHINGTON JEFFRES was born Nov. 14, 1860, and died Dec. 28, 1901 at Horace, Greeley County, Nebraska.  He married KATHERINE BENSON on Dec. 8, 1885 at Horace, Nebraska. She was the daughter of DANIEL BENSON and MARY LOUISE SHOTSWELL.  She also was married to ALFRED APPLEGATE.  George Washington and Katherine Jeffres had three children:

CORA BELLE. Born Sept. 11, 1888, at North Loup, in Valley County, Nebraska.  Died in 1978. Married EDWARD F. HURLY.

ELMER EVERETT JEFFRES. Born May 3, 1891, at North Loup, Nebraska.  Died Feb. 2, 1971, at Grand Island, Nebraska.  Married HAZEL IDA ROMINE.

CLINTON IRVING JEFFRES.  Married PEARL WARKMAN.
