WILLIAM and ELIZABETH WALKER JEFFRIES had five sons.  He was born June 10, 1824 in Ireland and died Jan. 20, 1885.  He is buried at Scotia, in Greeley County, Nebraska. They changed the spelling of the last name to Jeffres after they moved to Nebraska in the 1880s, according to research done by DAVID JEFFRES, a descendent (of JAMES ALBERT JEFFRES).  William and Elizabeth Jeffries had five sons.  The following details come from DAVID JEFFRES.  Information about place of birth conflicts.  Property records in Mercer County record Benjamin Perry Jeffres as being a child in the 1850s so he likely was born there.  The five sons are:

BENJAMIN PERRY JEFFRES. Born June 21, 1856, in Mercer County, Ohio. Died June 4, 1907. Married  HATTIE REED.

JAMES ALBERT JEFFRES. Born Dec. 19, 1857. Died March 5, 1936 at Horace, Greeley
County, Nebr.

ELIAS WALKER JEFFRES. Born Dec. 7, 1851, at Celina, Mercer County, Ohio. Died July
19, 1908, Lincoln, Nebraska.

GEORGE WASHINGTON JEFFRES. Born Nov. 14, 1860. Died Dec. 28, 1901 at Horace,
Greeley County, Nebraska.

JOHN OSCAR JEFFRES. Born May 4, 1865. Died March 13, 1924, at Ogallala, in Keith
County, Nebraska
