Joseph W. Fisher 89 died at 5 o'clock Tuesday night at the home of his son Jesse Fisher, in Middle Grove.  Born in Jones County, Iowa,  Mr. fisher  moved to Middle Grove in March of 1903 and was active in farming until November of last year.

Surviving besides his son are two daughters: Mrs. Velta Hayden and Mrs. Gertie Swartz, Madison; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The body remains at the Mahan Funeral Chapel in Moberly.  Services were conducted at 10:30 o'clock this morning at Middle Grove Christian Church by Rev. Steve Owings, Paris minister.  Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Moberly.
