Anne ANDERSON was the widow of William ANDERSON who was in the War of 1812. He was born 10 Jan 1792 Anson Co, NC and died 1 Mar 1873 Union Co, NC. He married on 9 Jan 1817 in Anson Co, NC to Anne PARKER (who died 20 Feb 1881). Their daughter was: Rachel Jemima ANDERSON who married Robert HARRIS.

German, a researcher of the German/Jarman family, he states that this is John W. GERMAN that md. Penelope FORT.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Elizabeth HUGH[HOUGH] was the widow of John HOUGH who was in the Revolutionary War. (He was born 2 Mar 1761-died 20 Mar 1847). He married on 25 Dec 1815 in Anson Co. to Elizabeth NEWTON (b.1798-d.1892).

John was the son of  Hezekiah HOUGH and Elizabeth INGRAM. He was a Private in the NC Line from Northampton Co, NC in the Company commanded by Capt. Bum of the Regiment commanded by Col. Sewell. Later moved to Anson Co, NC. He was awarded a pension of $20 per annum to commence on 4 Mar 1831. His widow applied for pension in 1853. After the Civil War, she also applied that the pension be reinstated. Widow’s pension certificate #2770.

Dilia JARMAN  was the widow of Willis JARMAN who was in the War of 1812. Widow was Dilia. He served under Capt. James M. TINDAL’S Company of NC Militia as a Private. From:  Index to War of 1812 Pensioners, transcribed by Virgil D. White. Widow’s pension certificate #WC-23, 979. As per John L. German, a researcher of  the German/Jarman family, he states that Willis’ widow was Dilia TEAL, his 2nd wife.
