Gholson Cemetery

. South of Broughton on route 142 about 1mile the sign appears on east side of the road, go East about a half mile. This picture shows the Oldest part of the Cemetery, The oldest graves date to the early 1840's This part of the Cemetery was started by Ely Gholson.

This was the new part when I was young, I was told there was a log school here near the big oak tree. Ely Gholson and area men built it in 1838. His son Tomzen deeded the Cemetery to Hamilton Co.Click Here for Deed Information
