| Early in last century this was the home of Nickolas & Nancy Linden. She died when I was real small so I don't remember her but she was a good friend of my grandmother and grandma used to tell how she had a room on the west side of the house as her studio. She was photographer in Broughton. According to Nancy's obituary, she unexpectedly died in her sleep in 1924. Nickolas lived to be 99 years old. He would go door to door selling Saymons soap. The house had a picket fence around it and not all the shrubbery as is pictured here. (Silveta Parsons) Nick Linden |
