STREAM OF DESTINY'S LITTLE  JOKE
                        REUNITES SISTERS AFTER 47 YEARS
What 47 years can do! What they can give, what they can take, what they
can restore!
The bits if drifting, helpless humanity that they can sweep asunder,
transport to widely separate shores, and then on their resistless tidal waves
crash together with one mighty thrust.
Two sisters can tell you something about that.
Two weeks ago, two middle aged women. long the mothers of stalwart sons
and daughters, met in a home not far from Bristow and clasped each other with
all the pent-up  fervor and wild exultation of nearly half a  century's
privation.
They were Mrs. H. M. Hart, 49 years old and her ten years elder sister,
Mrs Grant Johnson, of Forsythe MO.
Their story  goes  back to the year 1879. The scene is  set in a farm
house in the southern part of Missouri.
There a mother lies waiting for Death. She waits for him with joy and
longing, for she is tired of life. Life holds only misery for her since Death
has taken the husband of her youth and the father of her children.
And here at her side lies a two week old girl child, deprived of a daddy
just two weeks before her entrance into this world. Around her bed are
grouped the infant brothers and  sisters of assorted ages and  sexes.
They wait, and presently their wait is ended.
And now they are on the surging ocean of life, Destiny, the
irresistibility, will carry them on paths widely divergent, lead them through
far distant lanes. This family adopts one; that family adopts another.
Yet they are fated, the elder ones, to keep somewhat within touch of each
other, the  coorespondence now and  (unreadable line)
But the infant, Orpha  Gardner is to go with her foster parents to more
distant places and become lost to her brothers and sisters, through all of
life, almost.  For forty seven years.
    Subtitle: Forty seven years later.
Mrs. H. M. Hart, who was Orpha  Gardner, is living in her home six miles
south of Bristow, Oklahoma.
Her sister, once Martha  Gardner, now  Mrs Grant Johnson, lives with  her
family near  Forsythe, MO, not far from the original family home where death
claimed the young mother who did not care to live without her husband.
Then news reaching Martha  Gardner Johnson of the death of her
grandfather, she  communicates with her old home. Not far from there lives a
man named Hart. And he is the brother of H. M. Hart, who is the husband of
Orpha Gardner Hart.
One  word leads to another. And  the road leads to reunited hearts.
Destiny has played  her little  joke.
