Needing info on Pierce Blank, who was born Dec. 8,1844 in Russellville,
Cole Co., MO. According to 1880 Census he was still at home, unmarried.
Found him in 1910 Census in Osage township, dwelling no.74, family no.75,
said he was married 17 years, mentions no wife name but daughters, Chancy
M. Blank age 15, Rhoda L. Blank age 13 & his father, Phillip Blank
Age 92. Family information says Phillip died Nov 1910 . There is no record
in Jefferson City going back or forward for 4 years. A third cousin told
me she was 12 when he died & remembered traveling a long way
by horse & buggy as they lived in Russellville, Mo. at that time &
concrete was poured on his grave. Pierce owned 67 acres at that time
and I am thinking Phillip was buried on his property.
In 1920 census Pierce was living with Alfred Osborn, Wife Eva, Children:
Velma, Harriet Ethan &
Fern. Have Pierces'
Death Certificate as he died at a county farm & Mary D. Hanks was the
informant. He is buried at New Home Cemetery. Died on Dec 16, 1933.
Found a marriage record on him at Camdenton Courthouse married
Sidney Baker on Sept 21, 1916 (Bk 3 Pg 274 ) underage mother gave
consent. He was 72! Sounds like an interesting family
as his Dad was 79 when married a 2nd time to a 21 year old!
