The Willis Family came to Camden Co., MO about 1875 from Osage and Maries Counties in Missouri.

Alexander Thomas and Elizabeth Matilda Willis - She was b. Sep. 1, 1822 and d. Jan 6, 1895.  Their children were:

Alexander Willis faught and died in the Civil War.  Elizabeth Matilda and two of her sons John Dee and Edward moved to Camden Co. and Homesteaded.

Edward Alexander Willis  b. Dec 16, 1879, d. Apr 1, 1955, buried AB Cemetery, Macks Creek, Camden Co., MO.
He married Ida J. Pitman b. Feb 4, 1884, d. Sep 3, 1977, buried AB Cemetery.  They were the parents of three children, (unknown at this time).

Nora C. Willis  b. Sep 28, 1881, d. Jan 22, 1969, buried Old Bolles Cemetery, LaClede Co., MO.  She married Henry Clay Appleberry b. Aug 22, 1881, d. May 2, 1959, buried Old Bolles Cemetery, LaClede Co., MO.  Children were:

Sarah (Betts) Willis b. May 7, 1887, d. Jun 12, 1972 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  Married #1 Will Eidson.  They were the parents of 4 children, married #2 Charley Hicks, they were the parents of 6 children.

James R. Willis b. Feb 9, 1890, d. Apr 3, 1977 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  Married Apr. 23, 1911 Mary Baker b. May 18, 1894, d. Jun 26, 1968 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  They were the parents of 5 children.

Matilda (Till) Willis b. Mar 6, 1892, d. Jun 19, 1975, buried Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Married Henderson Eidosn b. May 22, 1884, d. Nov 30, 1961 buried Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  They were the parents of 3 children.

Melvina (Mel) Willis b. Nov 9, 1894, d. Feb 24, 1976 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  Married #1 Hoss Skinner, they had one daughter.  Married #2 Charley Boles b. Aug 29, 1884, d. Jan 24, 1974 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  They were the parents of 2 children.

Lou Willis b. Dec 28, 1896, d. Nov 13, 1973 buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  Married Grover Hack b. Apr 13, 1886, d. May 19, 1961.  No known children.

Maude Willis b. Oct 10, 1890, d. Oct 10, 1984, buried Macks Creek Cemetery.  Married Vernon (Vernie) Wheeler b. Jan 3, 1900, d. Oct 19, 1970.  They were the parents of 3 children.
