The following extraction taken from the Surrogate Court Records of the Will #451:
 
"That John Anderson late of the twp of W. Flamboro in the said district, Yoeman, departed this life on or about the twenty ninth day of October last having first duly made and published his last will & testament and appointed your petitioned Executors of said last will and testament"

John Anderson's Will as Transcribed in Court of Probate Register "G" (Volume 7), 1843-1845 and found on Microfilm 638, Reel 34.
The following extraction taken from the Transcribed Will.
 
 
"Court of Probate Province of Canada Kingston to Wit:
 
Probate of the last will and testament of John Anderson of the Township of West Flamborough in the County of Halton in the Gore District and Province of Canada, Yoeman, deceased.
 
In the name of God Amen. I John Anderson of the Township of West Flamborough in the County of Halton District of Gore and Province of Upper Canada, Yoeman, do make & declare this my last will and testament in manner & form following,
 
First I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping & believing in remission of my sins by the merit and mediation of Jesus Christ. And my body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named. And my worldly Estate I give & devise as follows:
 
First I give & bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Susannah during her life provided she remains a widow the whole of the profits arising from the lot of land I now live on being number Twenty Four in the second concession of West Flamborough.
 
And whenever my said wife shall marry or die I will and order that my son Abraham his heirs and assigns shall forever occupy possess & enjoy the North half of the said lot number Twenty four in the said second concession of West Flamborough, containing One Hundred acres be the same more or less (subject however to the payments hereinafter mentioned).
 
And at the demise or marriage of my said wife I will & bequeath to my son Isaac his heirs and assigns forever the South half of the aforesaid lot number Twenty Four in the second concession of West Flamborough containing One Hundred acres more or less & subject to the payments hereinafter mentioned.
 
I also will and bequeath to my son Henry his heirs & assigns forever One Hundred acres of land be the same more or less being composed of the North half of Lot number thirteen in the fifth concession of East Flamborough.
 
I also give and bequeath to my son William his heirs and assigns forever Two Hundred acres of land be the same more or less being lot number 10 in the second concession of the Township of Erin.
 
I also give & bequeath to my son John his heirs & assigns forever, one hundred acres of land more or less, being lot number five in the tenth concession of Beverly & Also to him his heirs & assigns forever. One quarter of an acre being lot number ninety six in the Town of Hamilton & more fully described in a deed of Bargain & Sale from William Mitchell to me:
I also give & bequeath to my son Samuel his heirs & assigns forever Seventy Eight perches of land being Village Lot number one in Waterdown & more fully described in a deed of Bargain & Sale from Daniel Campbell to me. Also to my said son Samuel his heirs & assigns forever I give & bequeath thirteen perches of land being part of Village lot number six in Waterdown & more fully described in a deed of Bargain & Sale from Levi Hawk to me.
 
I also will & bequeath to James Baker who now lives with me & to be paid by my two sons Isaac & Abraham equally, provided he remains with them until he is Twenty one years old, one yoke of oxen, a good farm horse worth Twenty pounds. Twenty five pounds in cash the money to be paid to him in two years after the expiration of his time.
 
I also give & bequeath to each of my three daughters the sum of one hundred pounds lawful money, to be paid as follows Viz. my son Samuel shall pay in two years after my demise the sum of Fifty pounds lawful money & the remaining sum of two hundred & fifty pounds lawful money to complete the aforesaid legacies shall in five years after my demise be paid by my two sons Isaac & Abraham as follows, namely my son Abraham shall in five equal yearly payments pay the sum of one Hundred pounds & my son Isaac shall pay in five equal yearly payments the sum of One Hundred pounds making the sum of the said three legacies of three of Three Hundred pounds.
 
My daughter Mary is to receive hers first , Margaret next & Elizabeth last.
 
I also give & bequeath to James Dunham his heirs & assigns forever one hundred acres of land being the North Easterly half of lot number three in the Eighth Concession of the Township of Chatham, County Kent, Western District.
 
And all the rest & residue of my personal estate & moveable effects whatsoever
& wheresoever of what nature kind & quality so ever the same may be & not herein before given & disposed of (after payment of my debts & funerals expenses), I give & bequeath to my dearly beloved wife during her life provided she remains unmarried. And at her death or marriage the whole of the said moveable effects & personal Estate shall be equally divided between my two sons Isaac & Abraham.
 
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint Benjamin Overfield, of Dundas Merchant & my son William Anderson of Beverly Yoeman, Executors of this my last will & testament
 
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this Eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Forty.
