The Poppy is a symbol of Bravery & Remembrance for all fallen soldiers

The black-eyes Susan means "Justice". It is a cheery colour that represents the warmth of the soldiers' memories that live on in our hearts as we honour them by bringing their stories to light. We can still honour them by living life for them and being and true just as they would want for us. Let not their sacrifice be in vain. Change is good and this flower might symbolize that justice is being served because we are not failing in our duty to remember them and make certain that history repeats itself.
Flowers are exquisite and delicate masterpieces. I do believe that your choice comes from a place of inner reflection with the belief that a new day has risen thanks to these brave soldiers and hope for the future will remain strong and united. Yellow is a spiritual colour and symbolizes optimism and cheerfulness. - Nathaleigh

There were 114 casualties of the Canadian Forestry Corps during WW2. Some deaths were incurred in Canada from illness and accidents and these soldiers are buried in cemeteries across Canada. Deaths were incurred in the United Kingdom from illness and accidents, etc and these soldiers are mostly buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery, while others are buried in cemeteries throughout the United Kingdom. The remaining casualties were on the mainland Europe killed from accidents and enemy action. These men are buried in some of the Commonwealth Military Cemeteries in Belgium and Netherlands. The accidents were mostly from the normal hazards of forestry work that was performed by the soldiers of the Canadian Forestry Corps.
There were some 700 CFC soldiers that were transferred to other support units or to fighting units. Some of these soldiers were killed in battle or died in POW Camps. These soldiers are acknowledged and listed here as well.

I would like to thank Sandra Shanks of Scotland who was very generous in gaining the copies of the death certificates of the CFC soldiers who died in Scotland WW2

Dear Bob.
I and my family would be very thankful if You can send me documents that You have found.
In fact, tomorrow is anniversary of his much too soon death.
I will light a candle for him and all war victims.
I will do it in our church of Saint Mary: http://www.zaplaz.si/romarska-cerkev-na-zaplazu/
May they all rest in peace.
Thank You in advance.
Best regards, Darko.
ps:
I admire Your care for all who lost lives in World War II. They should never be forgotten and You are doing researches that will not be.
God bless You.

General info on burials

Brookwood is 30 miles from London (M3 to Bagshot and then A322). The main entrance to Brookwood Military Cemetery is on the A324 from the village of Pirbright. Brookwood Military Commonwealth war cemetery in the United Kingdom, covering approximately 37 acres.

In 1917, an area of land in Brookwood Cemetery (originally The London Necropolis) was set aside for the burial of men and women of the forces of the Commonwealth and Americans, who had died, many of battle wounds, in the London district. This site was further extended to accommodate the Commonwealth casualties of the Second World War, and American, Belgian, Czech, Dutch, French and Polish plots containing the graves of Allied casualties. There are also German and Italian plots where prisoners of war lie buried.
