Various entries 1913 to 1915 


 

The Old hulk of the Steamer Resolute, beached above the mouth of Fallen Timber Run, set fire and burned Friday October 31, 1913.

The wreck of the W. W. O'Neil set fire and burned Friday November 28,1913 on the shore, upper end of Clairton Mill yard.

The Steamer Henry Lourie set afire Monday December 1, 1913 she is waterlogged and did not burn very well.

The tugboats Wasp and Aid burnt to water Wednesday night at 9:00 P.M. March 18, 1914, they were tied up together after work hours at the Walton Yard, as we called it then. Dock # 6 yard-Harve Johnson was Captain and Pilot.

The Old Steamer Ed Roberts beached at the mouth of Fallen Timber Run, set afire and burnt September 15, 1914. All these old boats were burned to get them out of the way and salvage the old iron.

The Old Steamer Coal City beached above the mouth of Fallen Timber Run set afire and burned Thursday May 20,1915. This is the third Old Steamer burnt on the same place.

Old hull of Steamer Dave Wood beached above Fallen Timber Run and burnt.
