The original Lock 7 was opened in the late 1800s and the photo below was taken in the early 1900s.

This photo was identified by comparison to photos taken in early 1990s by the Corp of Engineers as shown below.

The second Lock 7 shown in the photos below was opened in 1926 and closed in 1993 with the opening of the new Gray's Landing Lock.

These two photos below, dated 7/27/1948, show barges hung up on Lock 7.
