May 11, 1898 to June 15, 1898 


 

May 11, 1898 work in mill all day getting out bull rail for Steamer Elizabeth.

May 14, 1898 finished last O'Neil barge #138, sheeting the sides. Put up blinds and curtains for Mrs. McCune.

May 14, 1898 flag raising on both sides of the river.

May 16th straighten barge and unpacked new furniture for W. W. 0 Neil. Work on Steamer Elizabeth one half day

May 17th 18th 19th 20th, 1898 worked on Steamer Elizabeth.

May 26, 1898 put up picture molding for Mrs. McCune.

May 27, 1898  Partier poles placed for Mrs. McCune. Barge 61 out on single dock, piece of drift log through the deck.

June 4, 1898 repair three barges for O. & Company, #94 - 75 - 51.

June 6, 1898 repair barge 55 for O. & Company.

New shaft on Steamer Belle McGowan, worked 8th of June 1898, 9th, finished on 10th, 1898

Captain Ed Robison died June 9, 1898.

Friday June 10, 1898 very sick from working in the river on rudder arms on Steamer Elizabeth.

Finished up June 15, 1898. Worked June 16, 1898 hauling 1 in. boards out of boat bottoms and one and one half-inch coal boat siding out of R. R. car.
