December 19, 1924 to February 5, 1925


 

December 31, 1924   Steamer Voyager  Wheel repaired

Barges and Flats repaired December - January    F 1025 - 1051 - 1034 - 1162 - B 37

sunk Barge 83   this Barge was pumped out by Voyager

old section Dock #66 Docked and repaired January 5, 192(5)

Steamer National Docked December 19, 1924  Friday    Repaired and finished February 5, 1925  away Friday 6     this was a big General repair Job    One new guard - rudders  part new irons all repaired      Repaired all over Main deck - Nigger jobs - Kelsons and inside strakes - new Head - new deck beams and deck - all new irons around the Head and Knees - corner bands 5/8 x 8 x 26 - all outriggers repaired - Bulkheads all repaired - deck frame and boiler deck new to the Cabin - new Coal box - new face board - new rail      We had very cold ugly weather on this job   On Wednesday morning January 28 it was 40 below Zero  The bottom seams froze out and we left her sit on cradles in the water overnight on the 29  -  there was some ice in her hold but she was OK    this was a big winter Job for a few men     When this boat left she was in good shape and every one satisfied
