Photo of Pump Boat M 113 is from collection of Capt. Robert Eberhart   Close up of Pump Boat M 113

On September 25, 1911 JW wrote in his journal about the pump boat M 113 that "4 men on this boat puting up cabin."  He does not write if this was new construction or repair work. This photo shows the M 113 up on a dry dock with water being pumped out, as seen coming out the side of the dry dock. The men on top of the dry dock are manually pumping her out. The photo is marked as being taken at Mon City, have to wonder if the M stands for Monongahela or probably Mongah, being the name of a mine across the river from Monongahela. The date of this photo is unknown but other photos in this collection are dated in the late 19 teens. Another pump boat in the photo is the M 102.
