On March 14, 1910 JW notes that the Steamer R. L. AUBREY exploded her boilers with two men killed and others injured.  Boiler explosions were a common occurrence with significant loss of life during the years of the steam powered river boats.  The third photo above gives an example of the destructive power of an exploding boiler. This boat was rebuilt and named PLYMOUTH.
