The SAM BROWN that JW knew was built in 1896, the third boat with this name.  JW writes about her during March 1903 when she has various repairs detailed on several separate entries.   On October 15, 1904 and again on April 13, 1907 this boat has new fenders.  JW writes about a big job that started on August 23, 1911.   Final entry is on February 2, 1916 when the SAM BROWN blows up in West Virginia.
