The
first mention of the steamer TRANSIT by JW in his journal is during
June
1905 when she docks for a new hull, this is JW's first hull job as
Foreman. On
June 1,1919 she docks to
have her wheel repaired along with other repairs. On
September
14, 1920 JW writes that she is not seaworthy and then on
October
19, 1920 she is docked by orders of the U. S. Inspectors.
