In 1736 Ola Jonsson, from Gvammen in Atra, acquired Luras. He was married to Gunnhild Halvorsdatter. They had children: 1. Knut Olsson who married Guri Olsdatter, widow. 2. Helge, born 1718, married Stein Karlsrud. 3. Jon, born 1720. 4. Nils, born 1724, married Gunhild Olsdatter. 5. Agot, born 1727, married Aslak Torjusson. 6. Halvor, born 1730. 7. Gro, born 1732, married Tor Jonsson. 8. Hellek, born 1733.

Ola and his oldest son, Knut, bought another portion of the farm from Per Brynjulvsson in 1745 and the same year sold it to Ola's son Nils Olsson. Nils and his wife, Gunnhild had these children: 1. Birgit Nilsdatter, married Ola Halvorsson. 2. Jon, born 1754, married first of Joran Torsdatter and second to Lisbet Gunufsdatter. 3. Ola, born 1758. 4. Gunhild, born 1761. 5. Helge, born 1763, married widower Sondre Torsson.

Nils Olsson and Gunnhild stayed at the farm until 1784. The oldest son, Jon Nilsson, bought the deed for 750 riksdaler. Nils died in 1788 at 63 years old and Gunnhild died in 1805 at 82 years old.

John Nilsson was known to be sensible, capable man. In 1793 he married Lisbet Gunufsdatter and they had these children: 1. Ola Jonsson, born 1794, married Gro Kristiansdater Marheimsrud in 1818. 2. Joran, born 1797, married Tore Hanson in 1822. Oystein, born 1801, married Aslaug Torsteinsdatter in 1825. 4. Ingeborg, born 1802, married Jon Olsson Marheim in 1828. 5. Gunnulv, born 1804, married Birgit Olsdatter in 1833. 6. Lisbet, born 1811, married Oystein Olsson Flaten in 1831. 7. Knut, born 1818, married Gyry Nilsdatter.
