John Edmundson is justly indebted to the said Matthew Williams in the sum of one hundred and thirty two pounds 11/5(ck) current money payable the 25th day of Dec 1813 with interest from this date at six per cent and honestly desirous of securing the payment of the same and for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings to the said John Edmundson in hand paid by the said Mathew Williams at or before the ensealing? and delivering these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby ack the sd John Edmundson hath given granted bargained and sold and by these present do give grant bargain and sell unto the said Austin Clements one certain tract or parcel of land estimated at four hundred acres be the same more or less on which the said John Edmundson now resides and which the said John Edmundson purchased of William Lett?fon? and Edward Almond unto the said Austin Clements his heirs or assigns against the said John Edmundson and his heirs or assigns and against claim and demand of all persons whatsoever shall and will herewith? and forever defend. Upon trust nevertheless that the said Austin Clements his heirs executors or administrators shall after this twenty fifth day of December one thousand eight hundred and thirteen or as soon thereafter as the said Mathew Williams his heirs executors administrators or? assignes shall think proper or the said John Edmundson shall request sell for the best price that can be gotten after giving ten says previous notice the said …
