Location where he built and operated a blacksmith shop and gristmill.  He lived in what is now the William B. Bankhead National Forest, southeast of Moulton, Alabama. He is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery also located in the national forest. The national forest service gives the name as Key Mill Branch.
